If you’ve never read Watch Out by Joseph Suglia, you are missing out. It’s about a man who’s so self-absorbed, he falls in love with himself. Since cloning isn’t that advanced yet, he opts for something a little more realistic (scientifically speaking), a blowup doll bearing his likeness. The book follows the “hero”, Jonathan Barrows, around his everyday life, which includes sex acts in public places with butter, overweight, toothless hags trying to get in his pants, and the bitter, arrogant emotions that consume him. Did I mention he kills Britney Spears?
The film, which is coming out soon, stars Matt Riddlehoover and is adapted by Steve Balderson. More info here. NSFW, as you can imagine!
